PierScape 2011 “Diversity”

PierScape 2011 was a great success thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, and staff who worked hard to make it possible. A special thanks to:

• Dr. Elizabeth Beaton, our keynote speaker.
• Aaron Lewis, our featured musician who performed for our music celebration.
• The family of Bill Daye, our featured artist, and also Cape Breton University Art Gallery for lending paintings by Bill Daye for our exhibit.

PierScape was born to highlight local talent and has grown into an annual, weeklong festival celebrating the cultural richness that Cape Breton has to offer through the arts. The driving force behind PierScape continues to be the creative energy and community pride which grows each year.
